As a part of their curriculum
the students of Master of Computer Applications and Bachelor
of technology have to undergo six months training program
at an organization or a company dealing in development
of live software.
There they have to develop an application of industrial
importance in tools and languages they prefer or as suggested
by the company. The duration of the industrial training
varies from 16 to 24 weeks as decided by the company.
Industrial training has a very vital role in the MCA
/ B.Tech curriculum because the students for the first
time come face to face with the set ups and the environment
in the software industry and off course the demands of
live software development. During this period they
get a chance to implement all the theoretical concepts
that they have learnt during their semester studies. It
provides an ideal exposure to polish their skills and
make them ready to face the challenges of the corporate
